Meet Chanty Wills
I am a 38-year-old mom and friend. I completed my advanced training in pelvic health in 2012 and am now throwing all my energy and enthusiasm into this area. I love the work that I get to be a part of, and it would be my privilege to help you.
Why is pelvic health so important?
The pelvis is a beautiful, intricate and fundamental part of our body. Responsible for aiding in posture, movement, reproduction, digestion and elimination.
As varied as the functions of the pelvis are, so is the presence of pain and dysfunction.
Pelvic Physio gives us the opportunity to provide healing and restore function to those who are struggling with incontinence (both faecal and urinary), constipation, bedwetting, and pelvic pain. Even cases of recurring low back pain, SIJ pain, and hip pain can fall under pelvic pain as they relate to and function with the pelvis.
Why am I so passionate about pelvic health?
Being a mom of 2 little humans and entering peri-menopause myself I have had first-hand experience on how issues within the pelvis can affect daily life.
My focus will always be to highlight the pelvic floor and the role it plays in our everyday lives. My hope is that if we are better educated on the way our body should respond then we will take the steps that we need to in order to get help. My hope is that we will not accept bodies that we think are “broken” or are “second-rate” but that we would embrace the change, rise to the challenge and feel beautiful once again.
What can you expect?
This blog is where I, a physiotherapist with a special interest in women’s and pelvic health, will share what I learn and create a space where people will feel safe to ask questions and seek help.
